I have the release version of Mac OS X and I have been trying to compile OpenSSL on it. The config program says this: Operating system: Power Macintosh-whatever-Darwin usually my system compiles fine then I use "powerpc-apple-macos." I decided to just use "cc" from the list of systems in the Configure program. Several times during the compile I get this: "/usr/bin/ranlib: file: ../../libcrypto.a(ebcdic.o) has no symbols" At the end, I get a link error. I don't have the exact text right now, but it just can't find a lot of symbols. I have that problem a lot when compiling pretty much everything under mac os x. Support isn't great yet. Has anyone successfully compiled openssl on mac os x final? If so, I would love to find out how. By the way, I also tried using the rhapsody target in the configure program, but it does the exact same thing.
