Hi there!

As for 0.9.3a SPARC Linux is totally unsupported, was never been tested and
with linux-elf option should definitely fail. You can find initial support
for SPARC Linux in snapshots available at ftp://ftp.openssl.org/snapshot/.
"Initial" means that (according to external reports) it passes 'make test',
but (at least as far as I can tell) there is a room for performance
improvement.

Well, I can tell you another secret here:-) "sha1test" would also fail if
they try longer test vectors. In either case I have confirmed report that
following configuration line compiles and passes test on [Ultra]SPARC
Linux:

"blah-sparc-gcc","gcc:-O3 -fomit-frame-pointer -mv8 -Wall
-DB_ENDIAN:-D_REENTRANT::BN_LLONG RC4_CHAR DES_UNROLL BF_PTR:asm/sparcv8.o::",

We've even started to port my UltraSPARC modules from Solaris when my
correspondent stopped answering mail. He might have got urgent things to
do or left for vacation, I don't know... But as he doesn't answer and
you have UltraSPARC Linux box as well... If you have some time to spare,
I would really appreciate if you could answer some of my questions and
run some trivial tests on your computer for me.

Cheers. Andy.
