As recently problems have been reported on a Solaris system with the
CFLAGS= $(INCLUDE) $(CFLAG) -DCFLAGS="\"$(CC) $(CFLAG)\"" -DPLATFORM="\"$(PLATFORM)\""
definition in crypto/Makefile.ssl (which is there so that
crypto/cversion.c can return meaningful answers to
SSLeay_version(SSLEAY_CFLAGS) and SSLeay_version(PLATFORM)), Holger
and I have been discussing including that information in date.h (where
I added it for Windows builds a couple of days ago), so that the
problematic CFLAGS definition can be avoided. As the filename
"date.h" wouldn't make too much sense then, it should be renamed
to something like "buildinfo.h" or (8-character limit) "buildinf.h".
Any objections?
