I wouldn't recommend that document: its rather old and still has links
to draft standards. When it was originally written it represented "aims"
rather than reality. IE5 is a bit closer than the stuff of the time
though.

AFAIK no MS software took any notice of several of the extensions there
until at least year after that was written (e.g. CRLDistributionPoints).

Following the advice here caused me lots of trouble. Over a year after
its date later I duly followed the advice about critical extensions only
to find the version of Outlook at the time rejected them.
