That was hardly a relevant answer. The Makefile isn't among the
installed files, right? And basically, the installed files are all
there is for external (third party, whatever you wanna call them)
packages to go on.
This means that it would be a Good Thing<TM> if for example
opensslconf.h was filled with a number of defines showing how OpenSSL
was configured, for example:
