I am using VC 6, 0.9.6-beta1 with rand_win.c(version 1.9 from the CVS).
I encounter the following error while building the library:

NMAKE : fatal error U1077: 'link' : return code '0x460'
Stop.
Seems the error of changing interfaces. :)
