The format used is .pod.  The structure is currently pretty much as
you can see it on http://www.openssl.org/docs/, but some details are
up for debate.  Also, others have debated the current file structure.
I think this is something that will be hammered down some time after
the upcoming release, and you're most welcome to add your knowledge
and experience then.
