Hi Openssl developers,

I'm interested in using AES as a block cipher with openssl but I seem
to be slightly confused about key lengths. Rijndael's documentation states
that 128-196-256 bit cipher keys can be used. Using DH PKI, though,
tight security requires a key length of 2048 bits.

Herein lies my confusion: do these two key values represent different
keys? Surely AES wouldn't be based on a 256-bit key... If so, then how is the
cipher key discerned from the public key?

I'm off the mark here I know, guidance would be appreciated!

Thanks.
