The system was:
K7 Athlon
Linux 2.4.0-test12
RedHat 7.0 (that's why, I suppose)
gcc-2.96 (rpm gcc-2.96-56)
I simply updated the gcc rpm wiht the gcc-2.96-69 and this fixed the
compilation errors. I also, but I don't think this is the point,
updated the libstdc++ to 2.96-69, libstdc++-devel to 2.96-69 and
gcc-c++ to 2.96-69.
