Hello Everybody,
I have been working on a Engine hook for Baltimore hardware
products. RSA and RNG work fine now but I am a little bit puzzled with DH
hook: two functions are provided generate_key() and compute_key().
So generate_key() should generate a new DH key pair and compute_key
should generate an agreed symmetric key. But by reading the code provided by
the default implemented of DH generate_key() I have discovered that the
private or public part of the key pairs could be already defined. What does
generate_key() in this case ?
- If the private key is already defined, do we re-compute the public
key ?
- If both private and public are defined do we want to check that
the re-computed public key is the same as the already define one?
Thanks for your help
