Hi,

I am currently going through the codes for "ssl server" in openssl and I have
doubt regarding x509v3 types of certificate. Currently if i want my ssl
server just to load x509v3 certificate and send that to client when it is
requested and not to do client authentication based on his certificate. Can i
do away with codes which are specifically wriiten for x509v3 certificate? Or
in other words can you tell me what else is the use of x509v3 codes. Because
as far as i have gone through the code openssl uses d2i_X509() function to
load the certificate and while loading the X509_EXTENSION it just extracts
asn1_object and its value + whether the extension is critical or not from the
DER format certificate and put it into the appropriate fields. Reverse is
applied while sending the certificate to client.

So, can you please guide in this respect?

Regards

Ritesh
