A new CVS branch, based on a point in OpenSSL_0_9_7-stable, was
created today. Then all the FIPS-related changes that were introduced
a couple of weeks ago was removed from the branch OpenSSL_0_9_7-stable.
The new branch, which hereby is meant for FIPS-related changes, is
called OpenSSL-fips-0_9_7-stable. The snapshots from that branch are
called openssl-f-0.9.7-stable-SNAP-YYYYMMDD.tar.gz.

This should remove confusion (the 0.9.7-stable branch is supposed to
be frozen, damnit! :-)) and errors (there was a report about the
latest 0.9.7 snapshots not building on Windows, and I experienced
glitches when trying to build the FIPS stuff on Linux as well).

n other words, the 0.9.7 snpshots should build fine from tomorrow on,
while the f-0.9.7 snapshots might stil give you surprises.

As of this, you will see 0.9.7 released in two variants, a "normal"
and a "fips" one.
