I built 0.9.7c with:
./Configure solaris-sparcv9-cc
And in the Makefile is:
... cp openssl.pc $(INSTALL_PREFIX)$(INSTALLTOP)/lib/pkgconfig chmod 644 $(INSTALL_PREFIX)$(INSTALLTOP)/lib/pkgconfig ...
It changes the directory to '644', it should be '744'.
