Hi,

nobody reacts, so I file this as a bug to RT.

Perhaps uid was commented in OpenSSL 0.9.6 because uid was illegally
used as shortname for x500UniqueIdentifier. This was corrected in 0.9.7
but perhaps the real uid was forgotten.

Hi,

I tried uid and found that it was uncommented in objects.txt. I removed
the comments and I had no build problems. So why should an uid conflict
with a x500UniqueIdentifier?

The lines in objects.txt are the following ones:

# The following clashes with 2.5.4.45, so commented away
#pilotAttributeType 44 : uid : uniqueIdentifier

Best regards

Michael
