Currently only AES128 can be accelerated via /dev/crypto
(hw_cryptodev.c).
Will it be possible to integrate this patch into OpenSSL:

Yes, if you:
a) provide patches even for up-to-date OpenSSL versions, such as 0.9.8
and HEAD development branch, not only for 0.9.7 [you can as well
double-check and explicitly tell if the above patch is still applicable];
b) explictly state that all patched versions pass the tests with
accelerator X;
As for b). One can argue that the fact that it passes the test is
implied. Of course! Yet, as I can't test it myself, I'd prefer to see
explicit public record of it being the case [you can as well refer to
some FreeBSD thread or case, which mentions this]. Cheers. A.
