two questions about ssl

1.what's the difference(s) between BIO_read and ssl_read ?
2.can openssl protect UDP  transportation? when we use SSL_set_fd(ssl, new_fd); 
it only bind a TCP socket to ssl.How to bind  a UDP socket?
