Hi,

The bug: #364 in rt.openssl.org which is marked as resolved is still an issue 
(oddly enough the severity is marked as critical and the status shows that this 
is still broken in 0.9.8).

A further bug report: #1331 highlights the latest state of this issue. 
Upgrading to 0.9.8f resulted in critical failure of some of our core system 
software.
I would like some clarification on #1331. I assume the author is correct in 
that the BIO_pop function should decrement the reference count.
If so I will make the appropriate patch on the 0.9.8f source. Also it would be 
great if we could get a timeline on a fix for this.
