crypto/bio/bss_sock.c contains the following code:
static long sock_ctrl(BIO *b, int cmd, long num, void *ptr)
{
long ret=1;
int *ip;
switch (cmd)
{
case BIO_CTRL_RESET:
num=0; /* BUG */
case BIO_C_FILE_SEEK:
ret=0;
break;
[...]
}
return(ret);
}
Note the line that sets "num" to 0. This is useless, since "num"
is the function's argument and its value is never used afterward.
So the assignment could be dropped entirely. However, BIO also
has a member named "num", which makes one wonder whether the line
should actually be written "b->num=0;". Either way, this has to
be a bug.
