Do you have any hint in what could be wrong?
Use the -state -debug flags for s_client and s_server to trace each end when
your modified NSS is at the other end. That will provide you with a lot more
information to assist in figuring out what you've done wrong in the code.
i.e. point modified thunderbird at a modified s_server with -state -debug
enabled.
