The OpenSSL FIPS Object Module 1.2 has been extended to include support for the iOS and Mac OS X operating systems, as the newly released revision 1.2.4. This new support was made possible by a collaboration with Thursby Software Systems, Inc, (http://www.thursby.com/), a leading vendor of commercial Apple enterprise integration products.
This module corresponds to the FIPS 140-2 validation certificate #1051, see http://csrc.nist.gov/groups/STM/cmvp/documents/140-1/140val-all.htm#1051 The new 1.2.4 source distribution can be found at: http://openssl.org/source/openssl-fips-1.2.4.tar.gz An update to the 1.2 User Guide document should be forthcoming in a few days: http://openssl.org/docs/fips/UserGuide-1.2.pdf Note "UserGuide.pdf" is currently a symlink to "UserGuide-1.2.pdf", but will soon reference the new User Guide 2.0 document for the upcoming OpenSSL FIPS Object Module 2.0. -Steve M. -- Steve Marquess OpenSSL Software Foundation, Inc. 1829 Mount Ephraim Road Adamstown, MD 21710 USA +1 877 673 6775 s/b +1 301 874 2571 direct marqu...@opensslfoundation.com marqu...@openssl.com ______________________________________________________________________ OpenSSL Project http://www.openssl.org Development Mailing List openssl-dev@openssl.org Automated List Manager majord...@openssl.org
