In OpenSSL 1.0.1c, passing -nameopt to the openssl crl command has no effect. The option is accepted but the output does not change.
I am passing -nameopt esc_2253,esc_ctrl,utf8,sname,sep_comma_plus_space,use_quote in order to get UTF-8 characters displayed (i.e. no esc_msb). This works fine with the x509 and req commands, but crl ignores the option. -- Stefan H.
