New openssl builds including the Cyrix patch have been built for Fedora 18, 19, and 20 and fix my problem on F19. I'm still not clear on why this patch wasn't included in the Fedora builds before, since it dates from March, but I think if this patch actually has been included upstream, then you can close this ticket.
