patch to master and then apply patch for IPv6 (as it cleanly applies

Looking at your patch: Wouldn't it make sense to allow setting the
local port number as well? You could use
-bind host:port
similar to
-connect host:port
instead of
-localip arg
You could also call bind() in any case. Just initialise the address
and port number to 0.
