Fedora up till 20 didn't support any ECC.

Unfortunately because of the second bug, you won't be able to compile Bitcoin 
software on Fedora. I don't know when or if support for secp256k1 will be 
added.

Also, Fedora 18, as well as Fedora 19, are not supported any more and don't 
receive any security fixes, please upgrade.
