This is expected, see: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1019390 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1021898 Fedora up till 20 didn't support any ECC. Unfortunately because of the second bug, you won't be able to compile Bitcoin software on Fedora. I don't know when or if support for secp256k1 will be added.
