They don't plan to implement SSL for now, Kerberos V and S/MIME have higher
priority for them... Moreover, OpenSSL (and SSLeay before) have been used
and tested for a long time... As they start from scratch, the reliability
of their SSL will take a long time to be proven. Also, you can't use their
code for commercial purposes (see their licence), but only for academic
purposes.
So you'd better try to use Andrei's implementation if you plan to do
something
reliable and for commercial purposes in Java...
But I like their initiative. Maybe they will join the Open Source program
some time?
