I'm trying to get Apache-US-SSL 1.3.3-1 running on Linux (Red Hat 5.2)
This is the "complete deluxe" version from Macmillan.
The documentation they send with this is quite vague on the subject of
generating keys and csr's. It gives specific commands which don't
work out of the box. Something else needs to be done, and they must
assume that of course we all already know that.

When I try to create a csr (Their command is:
ssleay req -new -key server.key > server.csr
) I get an error that it can't find /usr/local/ssl/lib/ssleay.cnf
I have not been able to find any reference to any config files
other than the usual Apache httpd.conf stuff.
The directory /usr/local/ssl/lib doesn't even exist on this box.

Obviously, I'm missing a step here somewhere... what is it?

Thanks,

Mike
