That is correct. Eric Young became an employee at RSA, and took
SSLeay with him, which resulted in BSAFE SSL-C.
Just to calm down the hotheads, this does not make SSLeay 0.9.1c and
older less free. SSL-C is an "upgrade" with a new license, that's
all.
I haven't really tested SSL-C, just leafed through the reference
manual. I'm told that there are some minor differences in the API
compared to OpenSSL and SSLeay. Something has been added somewhere in
SSL-C, and things have definitelly been added in OpenSSL...
