I am a relatively new user of SSL. I had a few doubts about the Alert
Protocol.Now the standard
defines error handling (which is closing of connection) only for
Handshake protocol in section 5.4.2
The standard does not say anything about Error Handling for
"Application data". I wanted to
know
1) Does the Alert protocol error handling apply to Application
Data ?
2) If not, what happens when we receive Application Data which
fails MAC ?
