Okay, I realize I'm a newbie at this and it's incredibly complicated and all, but the bats in my belfry are starting to go cross-eyed. I have Solaris 2.7 clients and servers. UW imap-2000 with openssl-0.9.6, trying to set up secure email with netscape and pine4.21(with the ssl patch) clients. Not authenticated because I'll be using a self-signed certificate. Everything compiled great with gcc. So the question is: what EXACTLY do I need now? I created a self-signed certificate using "CA.pl -newca", "CA.pl -newcert", "CA.pl -signcert". I copied it to /usr/local/ssl/certs/imapd.pem. Do I need to create certificates for each user who is going to want to get at their mail on this server? Do I need to create a server certificate also and put it into /usr/local/ssl/certs? What do I call it? Perhaps I should just have myself certified? If there's documentation on how to do this, I sure as h*ll haven't been able to find it. A friendly finger pointing in the direction of the Rosetta stone would be vastly appreciated. Please help before I end up jabbing a pencil into someone's eye. Thanks mucho. =Barry= __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Messenger - Talk while you surf!
