Hi all, I am trying to compile and install openSSL 0.9.6 on Solaris 2.6. The compilation seems to be ok, but when I make install, at the end I get this: installing libcrypto.so /work/local/bin/ranlib: /work/local/lib/libcrypto.so: File format not recognizedinstalling libcrypto.so.0 /work/local/bin/ranlib: /work/local/lib/libcrypto.so.0: File format not recognized installing libcrypto.so.0.9.6 /work/local/bin/ranlib: /work/local/lib/libcrypto.so.0.9.6: File format not recognized installing libssl.so /work/local/bin/ranlib: /work/local/lib/libssl.so: File format not recognized installing libssl.so.0 /work/local/bin/ranlib: /work/local/lib/libssl.so.0: File format not recognized installing libssl.so.0.9.6 /work/local/bin/ranlib: /work/local/lib/libssl.so.0.9.6: File format not recognized Anyone able to shed some light on the matter? I am using gcc 2.9, and gnu binutils. I configured with config --prefix=/work/local shared.
