The registered ID version (RID) is for a single OID. OtherName is intended to
be catch all for anything else it consists of an OID and *anything* where the
meaning of *anything* is determined by the OID itself.

You can use RID in most versions of OpenSSL. OtherName really needs 0.9.8-dev
to be usable.
