I have followed the instructions on setting up a self-signed root CA. I'm unsure as to how to sign the VPN's "identity certificate" I'm being given by the VPN admin person. Subsequently, when this "identity certificate" is signed, what is the procedure for signing subsequent certificate requests from users wanting to use the VPN? Do I do that (if so, whats the openssl syntax for doing that) or does that happen on the VPN hardware? Sorry for the basic questions...but thanks for any advice.
