hello, a general question about OpenSSL: when issuing a certificate for some entity, does openssl verify the ca`s certificate before doing so? which would include to check the validity, a possible revocation, the signature and the certificate path. and if it does, where would you have to store the certificates included in the certificate path? and if it does not, how can it be guaranteed, that the issued certificate is valid? thx, Claus
