I've configured 2 servers to communicate via on demand dial-up PPP links. telnet, http, ping, etc work fine but ssh hangs. The minute I execute the ssh command the modem dials but ssh hangs forever. On top of that pppd terminates and dials back due to inactivity. Apparently from the keepalive probes.
