OpenSSL 0.9.8 compatibility

Hello all,

 

I have a  few clarifications regarding  OpenSSL  0.9.8's compatibility

 

1. Is OpenSSL 0.9.8 compatible with 0.9.7 (i.e) will all the existing applications
written for 0.9.7 will continue to work with 0.9.8 without any source code changes  ?

2. Does 0.9.8 have all the functionality of 0.9.7 ?

 

Your response to these questions will help me choose the appropriate version of OpenSSL
