I found a source code in the openssl examples.
But I still don't know how to test the type of the file (X.509 or PKCS#12). Is there a mean to do so?

I have now several other questions:
- does PKCS#12 files always have the ".p12" extension in their filename?
- If no, how can I know (programatically) if they are in X.509 or PKCS#12 format?
- When using d2i_PKCS12_fp(FILE *fp, PKCS12 **p12), how can I free the p12 object?

thanks again for your time and answers :)

regards
Alexis
