Well that bit I can answer. The FIPS changes have now been merged into the 0.9.8 branch and will appear in any recent 0.9.8 snapshot. They will appear in subsequent releases of OpenSSL 0.9.8 that is 0.9.8j and later though a date has yet to be set for 0.9.8j release. Steve. -- Dr Stephen N. Henson.
