Hello list, I'm not much into the details of X.509 certificates, so I please need a little "kick off" help.
I want to include some kind of meta information into certificates, e.g. foo = x bar = y baz = z A collegue of mine recommended to use the "subject alternative name" extension (http://www.openssl.org/docs/apps/x509v3_config.html#Subject_Alternative_Name_). He told me, that I could "abuse" this to include custom attribute/value fields. But after reading the description on openssl.org I'm not sure, if this is true. Could someone please tell me what type of extension I need to use or if I need an own extension?
