Hi everyone, I working on a project which combines several 3rd party libraries. Two of these libraries depend upon openssl, however differing versions. Since I don't have the source for these 3rd party libraries, I can't rebuild them to a common version of openSSL.
The problem I'm having is on Windows. The 3rd party libraries use runtime binding to load entry points from ssleay32.dll. Unfortunately, ssleay32.dll uses link time binding to load entry points to libeay32.dll. When it does this, it seems that Windows loads the 1st libeay32.dll it finds, which creates conflicts for one of the ssleay32.dll versions loaded. My first question, is there a way to configure openssl so that ssleay32.dll uses runtime binding with libeay32.dll entry points? My second question is, why are two DLL's needed? Thanks for any input, Rick ______________________________________________________________________ OpenSSL Project http://www.openssl.org User Support Mailing List [email protected] Automated List Manager [email protected]
