Thanks for broadening the subject tags. I hadn't seen this thread yet.

While I don't have "answers" for you questions (of course I have ideas and 
opinions though), the mentorship idea and starting to break the "+1 doesn't 
matter" meme are both great! Thank you for bring up the topic.
