In the meanwhile I found some more information like [1]. I understood that devstack downloads the binaries from github as distros don't have the latest version available. But the binaries for s390x are not yet provided there. I opened a issue to figure out what would need to be done to get the s390x binary posted as well[2].
If that is not working, we might need to start thinking in a different direction, e.g. - enhance devstack build etcd3 from source (for certain architectures) - check that etcd3 is already installed (we could install it upfront on our systems) I opened a bug against devstack to track the discussion [3] [1] https://review.openstack.org/#/c/467436/ [2] https://github.com/coreos/etcd/issues/7978 [3] https://bugs.launchpad.net/devstack/+bug/1693192 -- ----- Andreas IRC: andreas_s On Mi, 2017-05-24 at 13:48 +0200, Andreas Scheuring wrote: > Hi together, > > recently etcd3 was enabled as service in devstack [1].
