the Pike release. The code change is contained within the driver and

I have no problem with this particular feature, but given that it missed
the deadline I would recommend prioritizing review on this lower than
other changes which did meet the deadline.
I'll put an agenda item on the weekly meeting tomorrow to formally
consider this FFE.
