Hi all,

It's a couple of weeks out from the slated "decision" milestone (icehouse-2) to potentially deprecate nova-network. Since I guess there's still time to affect this outcome, but I haven't seen much communication recently, here's a thread!

I think a series of beautiful write-ups could help inform this decision, perhaps some/all of these (taken from survey results, and previous mailing list discussion):

* How to use neutron to achieve FlatDHCP Multi-Host HA (eg https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/NovaNetNeutronRecipes#Every_compute_node_also_a_network_controller)

* How to migrate from an existing nova-network installation to Neutron

* A performance comparison of nova-network and neutron of some kind

* Addressing the progress on the pain points discussed at the summit: usability, complexity and reliability (https://etherpad.openstack.org/p/icehouse-summit-neutron-pain-points)

* How neutron has improved in terms of providing "simple solutions for simple use cases"

=> Does anyone have any time to inform about these points, or any other salient ones?

Regards,

Tom
