I am new to openstack. I have a problem in understanding of Nova-database update with the resources information. My understanding after going through the architecture documents and code is Nova-Database is the one which stores the resource information about the compute servers. The Nova-Scheduler is responsible to place a VM on a correct compute node where the resources are available. Nova-compute is responsible for creating the VMs/Containers etc. The question here is who actually updates the in real time the resource information in the Nova-Database by reading the resources information from the compute servers/nodes? I have read about agents are responsible for this, but I dint get which code does that. Can any one please help me in clarifying my doubt and please guide me for the code which does that.
