The default behavior is to close the series bugtask: if a Launchpad bug has a "liberty" bugtask, then landing a corresponding "Closes-Bug" change will set that task to FixReleased.
However, since unfortunately in Launchpad only "drivers" can fully create series bugtasks, it is quite common that we have a change closing the bug, but no corresponding bugtask to FixRelease. For those bugs we add the "in-stable-XXX" tag instead.
