A huge "THANK YOU" to Colette for all the time and effort that went into making this a reality. What she doesn't mention is that this training (which lasted just a couple of days) was a year in the making!
In addition to the great sandwiches and BBQ (and beer), I think it was great to have so many of us in a room at once. There is something about meeting in person, breaking bread (and jokes) that is totally lost in a virtual environment. I think the training and the discussions were well worth it and I encourage anyone who is serious about leadership in OpenStack to consider attending the next session. And while you are there, make it a point to go to Maker Works and meet Tom Root. It is truly inspiring to see what he's doing there. -amrith > -----Original Message----- > From: Colette Alexander [mailto:colettealexan...@gmail.com] > Sent: Wednesday, July 06, 2016 12:05 PM > To: OpenStack Development Mailing List (not for usage questions) > <openstack-dev@lists.openstack.org> > Subject: [openstack-dev] [tc] Leadership training recap & steps forward > > Hello Stackers! > > I wanted to send an update about what happened last week at the > leadership training session in Ann Arbor, Michigan and some of the > things moving out of the training that we're hoping help improve the > community as a whole. > > 17 people from the community (including 8 from the TC) and 2 trainers > from ZingTrain spent 2 days covering a range of materials and > subjects: servant leadership!
