We would like to introduce the community to a new Python based project
called DON – Diagnosing OpenStack Networking. More details about the

DON, written primarily in Python, and available as a dashboard in
OpenStack Horizon, Libery release, is a network analysis and diagnostic
system and provides a completely automated service for verifying and
diagnosing the networking functionality provided by OVS. The genesis of
this idea was presented at the Vancouver summit, May 2015. Hopefully the
community will find this project interesting and will give us valuable
feedback.

neutron team currently works on defining a new diagnostics API:

Please work with the community on API definition, and later, on backend
specific implementation of desired checks.
