If you installed from source, you should run: $ sudo /usr/share/openvswitch/scripts/ovn-ctl start_northd The OVN packages install systemd units, so you can also start it that way and set it up to re-start after a reboot. $ sudo systemctl enable ovn-northd $ sudo systemctl start ovn-northd -- Russell Bryant
