Hi all - Wanted to circle back on this now that we're clear of the Summit madness. Someone had asked for assistance on getting OpenStackID up and running on this. Is that still a need? If so, let me know how we can help.

Thank you,
Jimmy

For channels that are configured to have purplerbot running, you can
get that with p!spy. See https://anticdent.org/purple-irc-bot.html

If you want the bot added to a channel let me know, or run your own;
the code is linked from the blog post.

Nice thanks!

I've always wanted a tool that could alert me of "missed mentions" when
I'm offline IRC rather than having to manually parse the IRC logs for
those times I'm offline. However I'm guessing that falls outside the
scope of this tool or could be done with some other tool (I haven't
investigated yet)?

Very nice, thanks!

Only change I'll suggest is to allow it to be enabled by default J

Hello Stackers,

If you ever find yourself needing to peruse OpenStack IRC logs online (http://eavesdrop.openstack.org/irclogs/) and if you use the Chrome browser to do it, then the following tool may come in handy:

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/openstack-eavesdrop-irc-f/lcmadadicbflcamibnpplpgdcdahkade

It's a simple extension to filter messages of the type: "<nick> has quit" and "<nick> has joined", which makes the log much more compact and readable.

Source code is here: https://github.com/abashmak/chrome-irc-filter

Comments, suggestions are welcome.
