I like the blog idea - Stefano
is talking about switching the planet blog to a new Wordpress system
anyway. This concept of writing articles is what I discussed a bit at
the Design Summit. I think we still need a way to make posts part of the
official documentation. For example, I just pulled in a "customizing
the dashboard" section from a blog entry, re-writing slightly. That
should go forward with the docs because it's something everyone needs to
know. But there's plenty of other docs that should live as blog
entries. CCing Stefano to see if he knows the state of the Wordpress
tooling around the blog aggregator.
I like the idea of a fourth self-identifier on the home page- "New
to OpenStack" - does anyone have time to mock it up using the index.html
we have?

Doc folks:
It
seems like there's a lot of third-party OpenStack documentation being
generated, both in the form of manuals (like below), and random how-to
blog posts, and I have a hard time keeping track of it all. Do we have a
mechanism for tracking pointers to external docs?
If
not, could we set up a blog dedicated to OpenStack documentation? It
would basically just contain links to docs as we encounter them. The
blog format is nice since it's chronological, so newer stuff is
prioritized. Even a twitter feed could be useful.
We
do have the main blog, and Stefano's newsletter, and both of those have
doc references, but I was thinking about a feed that was only about
docs.

Also, I was
looking at
docs.openstack.org,
and thinking it might be a little confusing for newbies. It might be
helpful to have language like:

deployment of OpenStack? Look at the Install and Deploy Guide

Looking for a detailed reference? Look at the Administration Guide.
